On this trip, you can visit the most fascinating part of the Samaria Gorge without walking through the entire canyon. The idea is to reach its southern end and hike up the gorge for as long as you wish.
Throughout the day, you will enjoy stunning views and the pristine natural beauty of Crete. We travel by bus and ferry to Agia Roumeli, a small remote village on the Libyan Sea.
From the harbour, we walk approximately 2.5 km to the entrance of the national park. About 1.5 km further inside lies the narrowest part of the gorge, known as the Iron Gates. You may continue even deeper into the canyon if you wish.
Afterwards, we walk back down to the coast, where you can relax, swim, and enjoy lunch in the village before taking the ferry back to the bus.
